I'm travelling by train to Grimsby tommorow, i'm 15 and wanted to buy the tickets online, Southport has one ticket machine that only uses coins and doesn't allow you to collect prepaid tickets. Can I buy the ticket on the day? If so would it be more expensive? Also, what is the train i should be getting for the change at Manchester Piccadilly?

You've left it too late to save money on advance purchase tickets which should generally be bought at least 7 days in advance, further ahead for the best deals. Catch the 24 minutes past each hour train from Southport and change at Manchester Piccadilly for the Grimsby train. www.tpexpress.co.uk
