Does anyone know how long it would take to get there by train (and ferry)?
And about how much the whole trip will cost in tickets? Trains here in Egypt are super cheap, but I don't really know about the transportation in Jordan and Syria. I know the ferry from Nuweiba to Aqaba will cost 50 dollars (also, does it really Have to be paid in dollars??), but I don't really know how much all the rest will cost.
We were thinking of maybe spending around 3-4 days getting there (stopping in Jordan for a day or so), but how fast could a person theoretically do the trip?
Any advice would be awesome. Thanks!
Answer :
Go to the Egypt Air site and the Syrian Air site and you will find that you can book direct for about $220 ($440 for 2).
These are the only direct flights.

Answer :
via ferry to Jordan (by car)
or cheaper economy airlines , OTHER than mentioned already , are Airarabia and Aljazeera Airways from Assiut airport , but they are not direct , they stop in Sharjah & Kuwait (transit/change planes).
Airarabia is $469 for round trip flights G9616 & G9315 website http://www.airarabia.com/home
for Jazeera Airways check their website http://www.jazeeraairways.com/Schedule.a…
price not including meals or extra luggage
Answer :
You can book cheap flights on Jazeera Airways http://www.jazeeraairways.com/ , but it only stops in Alexandria airport, not Cairo, but there is no direct flight from Alexandria to Damascus, so you'll have to do Alex-Kuwait, Kuwait-Damascus, but it's still very cheap. Try.
